Joan & Melissa Rivers Ditch the Red Carpet for Reality Television

Although Joan Rivers has forged a career in Hollywood interviewing many an A-list star, the Fashion Police host and her daughter Melissa Rivers are ready to move onto a new venture in reality television.

Changing their pace, mom and daughter are set to move in together for their new show Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?, explaining to the Hollywood Reporter that celebrity reporting isn’t what it used to be.

“We’ve done that. It’s not fun anymore,” Melissa explained on Friday of red carpet interviews.

Mom Joan agrees that being front and center on a red carpet is too restricted for her sarcastic ways nowadays.

“When we were doing it, you could tell Julia Roberts, ‘I hate your dress.’ Now publicists ice you if your insults are too incendiary,” Joan told the Hollywood Reporter.
