Jon Gosselin has decided to take a back seat and let his attorney, Mark Heller, do his bidding. The reality star was thrown under the bus by former BFF Michael Lohan and ex-lover Kate Major during depositions last week in the civil law suits between Jon and TLC, E! News reports.

Last week, Michael told Access Hollywood that he felt "stabbed in back" by Jon for backing out of and then denying some potential business deals.

“When you open your door to somebody and you give them a safe haven and a place to go and then they turn around and bite the hand that feeds or stab you in the back, that doesn’t sit well with me,” Michael told Access.

Heller claims Jon was not close with Michael and suggests that Lindsay's dad may have been using the Jon for publicity.

"I think it's regrettable that Michael Lohan is publicly discussing his relationship with Jon," Heller tells E!. "Jon really doesn't want to dignify anything that Mr. Lohan is addressing in the media. I think it's very clear that Jon did not enter into any legal arrangement with Mr. Lohan and has done nothing of a negative nature in his dealings with Mr. Lohan... I think he only knew Mr. Lohan for under a week."

Heller also speaks out against Kate Major, who he feels will do anything for attention and compensation.

"Kate Major has basically used Jon Gosselin as her Obama stimulus package," he says. "Every time she runs low on funds, she comes up with another story to sell somebody."

Major maintains that Jon revoked legally binding agreements they made for her to be his assistant.

This Thursday, Jon and TLC will be in court to hash out the contract dispute.

Heller says Jon "feels extremely optimistic" about the case.

TLC claims that Jon is in breach of his contract with the cable network for making business deals in violation of his contract.
