Here's something we didn't see coming — Jon Voight is speaking out to support Jane Pitt! Yes, you read it right: Angelina's dad is supporting Brad's mom!

Jon is coming to the defense of Jane, who recently wrote a letter to her local newspaper in which she described President Barack Obama as "a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage." Well, the letter sparked outrage that has even resulted in death threats toward the Oscar-nominated actor's mom.

Yesterday, Angelina's dad told Fox News he agrees with her views. "Good for her" for speaking her mind, he said.

Although publicly Angie and Brad have been pretty silent on the matter, his brother spoke on Today earlier this week. Doug Pitt explained on the morning program: “I think moms and dads and kids agree to disagree all over the world, so why would our family be any different? There can be healthy discussion when people disagree with you."

Doug added, "The bad thing is when it turns to venom and negativity, and we don’t have that in our family. It’s open discussion. We can learn from each other and, if anything, it solidifies your point. Or maybe you learn something.”
