Julia (Swinton) is an alcoholic  mess who gets fired from her job and has nowhere to turn. When the — illegal — opportunity arises to make a lot of money, she takes it and craziness ensues. The pathetic characters in this darkly complex tale make Julia more disturbing than entertaining.
