Julianne Hough may be Derek Hough’s little sister, but the former Dancing with the Stars pro has some good advice to offer her older brother as he makes plans to venture off onto the big screen.
“I’m so excited for everybody to see his talents and everything else that he has to offer. I know how amazing he is!” Julianne told Access Hollywood in NYC of Derek’s big plans.
Since the 22-year-old left DWTS to pursue an acting and singing career herself last year, she is well versed in advice for Derek, who is also set to take a break from the show to pursue his career.
Julianne says that Derek, “Did ask me a couple of questions that maybe last year I would’ve asked, but because I’ve done it already I already know the answers. It was kind of cute for him to ask me that.”

Julianne couldn’t be more excited for her brother, 25, as he gets set to star in Cobu 3-D, while she has been busy shooting the movie Footloose.
As the tables turn and Julianne gets to offer up advice to Derek for his role, she gushes, “I’m kind of like a big sister now!”
