When he won for pop act, he thanked his fans and referred slightly at his current scandal: "There's been a lot of crap on the Internet lately, but I pulled through it." When Ludacris (who presented him with the award) said he needed to get louder, Justin screamed, "Fans, I love you!!!!"

He also acknowledged his friend Kanye West when he won for best male, saying, "I voted for Kanye."
