Karina Smirnoff on Kate Gosselin: I Totally Understand Her

Karina Smirnoff was recently seen at Yotam Solomon Presents the Native American Collection Fall/Winter 2010 in Hollywood where she confessed to OK! that she hasn't completely left Dancing With the Stars, so we had to ask — what does she think about Kate Gosselin?

"To be honest, I totally understand what she is doing," Karina told OK!.

Karina thinks it's good for the mom of eight to have something else to do.

"She is home and she has a lot of kids to take care of and for her to come and get her hair done and her makeup done and all of that is fun and she can do something other than being a mom, which is great," Karina shared with OK!.

But, it's a balance.

"As long as she can combine being a mom with Dancing with the Stars," she explained, "that's great."
