Kate Gosselin appeared on the Today Show this morning to promote the new episodes of Kate Plus 8 and discuss her life as a single mother and how she wishes her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, was around more!

Kate explained to Matt Lauer that Jon currently has custody of the children two weekends a month.
"I wish that he would see them more, to be honest; so do the kids," Kate said.
"The important thing is that I control my reaction, my behavior, my attitude and my words," she added. "What I receive back is not in my control."

But Kate isn't exactly ready to turn to dating someone else just yet as she said she's only been on "half a date" since her divorce from Jon.
"I feel like I have my life together pretty much, but let be honest; it's going to take a strong person to wrangle this mess," Kate, 36, said. "If a suitor can pass the test, he's got to be Superman."

"You start out the first time around, and you're some single with not a lot of baggage or issues," she explained of how dating is different now that she's a single mother of eight. "I like to have fun, but I don't have a lot of time for myself. I do have eight kids!"
