Katie Couric Offered '60 Minutes' Spot to Stay With CBS?

Rumors have been spreading that Katie Couric is considering leaving CBS as a nightly news anchor, but now the network may have made her an offer she can't refuse.

The New York Post reports Katie has been offered to become a regular on 60 Minutes.
An offer has reportedly been made to Katie as part of a package to stay and also do a future daytime talk show for CBS.
The chief of 60 Minutes, Jeff Fager, was put in charge of CBS News. But Les Moonves, head of CBS, reportedly wants to keep Katie at the network.

And while Katie's current deal with CBS is up in June and reports say Scott Pelley has agreed to take over for her evening news position.
A spokesman for Katie declined to comment on the details of her new offer.

"Katie's on vacation this week," he said. "Hopefully, the speculation about Katie can take a week off, too."
