Us Weekly reports, Katie, who played Joey on the teen drama, wanted to discuss possible movie ideas with her former co-stars James Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams and of course Joshua, but Tom Cruise put an end to that idea.

Katie, on the other hand, "didn't care how 'low-brow' he thought Dawson's Creek is," the source explained. "She wanted to do the movie and reconnect with her fans. And have fun."
