Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise Squash Boycott Rumor of Oscars

Despite an unflattering Saturday Night Live skit in which Anne Hathaway channeled Katie Holmes in a fictional Miley Cyrus Show, Katie and Tom Cruise are stating they aren't boycotting the Oscars because of the unflattering skit. They simply weren't planning on attending the awards ceremony anyway!

To set the record straight, a representative for Tom told PopEater that it's "not true and made up." Turns out, prior to the skit the couple didn't have plans to attend the Oscars. So it's not a snub after all. They're just not that into the Oscars!

When the Academy Awards airs on Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. on ABC, looks like we won't see Katie or Tom walk the red carpet. We will, however definitely see Anne there. She can't be a no-show. After all, she's co-hosting with James Franco!
