Katy Perry was recently spotted without her wedding band, giving rise to rumors that her marriage to Russell Brand could be a thing of the past. About a week later, Russell was also spotted sans ring, and seemingly without a logical excuse — he was merely going for a walk in London; photogs snapped pictures of a ringless Katy frolicking in the ocean in Kauai, Hawaii, so she could have just been trying to avoid losing the yellow diamond micropave band in the water.

Rumors have been swirling for months that the "The One That Got Away" singer and the Arthur actor, who are one of Hollywood's quirkiest couples, were facing a split. Of course, the two have been subject to many rumors before, but they have always shot them down. This time, all's quiet on the Twitter front, and the two spent Christmas roughly 3,000 miles away from each other. 'Tis the season? Then again, Russell sat down with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show last month and said, "I am really happily married."
