This is huge! In recent years, it had seemed that country sensation Carrie Underwood had the stamp over the biggest success on the Idol charts — but not anymore!
Carrie's "Before He Cheats" had previously held this title, but now "Stronger" has sold 3,510,000 singles, per Billboard. "Before He Cheats" has sold 3,509,000 since it came out in 2006. "Stronger" has also become Kelly's longest-running No. 1, topping the charts for three weeks.
But Carrie doesn't need to worry, she still tops Kelly in album sales. Carrie has sold 13,205,000 as of yesterday, with Kelly narrowing in with 11,664,000.
