Kelsey Grammer Confirms Divorce on Twitter

Frasier actor Kelsey Grammer confirmed the rumors he and wife of 13 years, Camille Grammer, are divorcing with a Tweet yesterday.

Kelsey's wife filed for divorce Thursday in a Los Angeles court, reports E! Online, and the three-times married actor then broke the news on Twitter.

"Hello everyone thank you for ur support and Yes it's TRUE Camille and I are Divorcing I ask U 2 respect our privacy in these difficult," he Tweeted.

His rep followed up with a statement: "Kelsey and Camille value privacy. They understand that private lives sometimes get played out in public but ask on this occasion that their privacy — and the privacy of their children — be respected.

"I would like to add that I know people will be tempted to say some mean things," Kelsey continued in consecutive Twitter posts. "I realize that it is human nature but I ask that you be particularly sensitive to the feelings of my wife.

"She has been a terrific partner for many years and should not be treated with any disrespect at this time. Things fell apart between us. That is all. She is still the mother of my children and any disparagement of her will only hurt the children.

"Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it. I appreciate your kindness for all parties in this matter."

According to the petition, Camille cited irreconcilable differences and is seeking primary physical custody of the couple's 8-year-old daughter, Mason, and 5-year-old son, Jude, in addition to child and spousal support.
