Kim Kardashian got a crash course in political tweeting this weekend when two posts — one praying for those in Israel and another praying for those in Palestine — caused a flurry of angry responses from her 16 million followers.

Kim took to her own blog and apologized, clarifying that her words were apolitical and peaceful.
"The fact is that regardless of religion and political beliefs, there are countless innocent people involved who didn't choose this, and I pray for all of them and also for a resolution. I also pray for all the other people around the world who are caught in similar crossfires," she wrote.
Today it was announced the reality star would head to Kuwait and Bahrain to visit a few Millions of Milkshakes chains for promotional purposes and had plans to meet with leaders while there to educate herself.

"Kim wants to be as informed as possible ... so she can use her celebrity to help those in need and raise awareness about important issues in the area," the source said.
Good for Kim. It certainly isn't in her job description to know the ins and outs of global conflicts, but we applaud her desire to learn.
