Kirsten Dunst Granted Restraining Order Against French Fan

Kirsten Dunst was granted a restraining order on Friday by a judge in France, protecting her against Jean Christophe Prudhon, who has allegedly repeatedly attempted to contact and even meet the actress.

"I am frightened for my safety, as well as the safety of my family and friends who visit my home,” the 29-year-old explained in court documents that were recently filed according to the Huffington Post.

The French fan has sent Kirsten more then fifty letters and has even showed up at her mother Inez Dunst’s doorstep, causing much alarm to the Elizabethtown actress.

“I am worried that Mr. Prudhon will escalate his conduct further, putting myself and my family in danger,” Kirsten added in her statement.

Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson ruled that Jean must stay at least 100 feet away from Kirsten and that he can’t try to contact her anymore.

If the Judge believes it to be necessary, a 3-year restraining order could be granted against the Dijon native during the next scheduled court hearing on Dec. 21.
