Recently we heard Kristen Stewart dropped out of one upcoming movie, Cali, and now we hear there is a Snow White sequel in the works that doesn't have her name on it!
The potential sequel for Snow White and the Huntsman has been scratched in favor of a follow-up that will focus on the Huntsman himself, Chris Hemsworth. The Hollywood Reporter points out that if Chris' movie goes forward, K-Stew won't be invited back.
As for Rupert Sanders, the director and married man with whom she had a fling... well, it's unclear whether he would direct the potential sequel, although an insider told THR he'll be back.
A spokeswoman for Universal indicated, "The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise."
Apparently, it's a bit odd for a studio to drop a star in a big franchise between the first and second movie. According to insiders, Plan A was to make two films with the Snow White character and a third one for the Huntsman, but it looks like the studio has moved on to Plan B.
