Kristin Cavallari knows first-hand what it's like to be the woman of an NFL quarterback, but would she have stood up for her fiancé Jay Cutler the way Gisele Bündchen did for Tom Brady after the Super Bowl? Probably not.

"It’s a tricky situation," Kristin told OK! at the Betsey Johnson Fall 2012 fashion show in NYC last night. "I definitely think it’s cute that she had her man’s back, I just think in the sport’s world you have to be so careful what you say."
But Kristin's not concerned about how the players feel about Gisele's comments; she's more worried about the backlash from football fans!
"Sports fans are very passionate about the game, and they don’t really want to see girlfriends or wives getting involved," she explained. "So I can understand why people were upset, but I don’t think Gisele was trying to throw anyone under the bus by her comment."

OK! NEWS: KRISTIN CAVALLARI DELAYING WEDDING TO JAY CUTLER FOR BABY
"I think fans were heckling her and it was more for her to say, ‘Tom can’t do everything,' " Kristin added. "I think people kind of took it out of context a little bit."
As for whether or not Kristin will be facing any skepticism from Chicago Bears fans, we doubt it! She's expecting a baby with Jay, and we think all his fans have her back.
