NEWSOK! Exclusive: Kyle Richards On Her Current Relationship With Sister Kim Richards— Is It Still Strained?
Kyle Richards and her sister Kim Richards ended last season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on shaky ground, and during this past year Kim has battled with her sobriety, ultimately ending up in rehab once again.
But Kyle, 46, exclusively told OKMagazine.com that her relationship is currently on the mend. "It's doing much better, which I'm very grateful for," the former child actress said. "We're actually doing well now."
In the season six premiere episode of the RHOBH Kyle described her “complete, utter disbelief” about Kim’s drunken arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel in April and vented to husband, Mauricio Umansky, about the damage their relationship has endured by not openly discussing Kim’s addiction problems.
Obviously, there was much work to be done in order for the sisters to regain trust. "It was just a lot of damage and it's going to take quite some time before it's completely healed," admitted Kyle. "But I think that we're probably always going to have a rocky relationship and are going to have good times and bad times."
Kyle described their dynamic as a work-in-progress, not always getting along, but loving each other despite differences.

Kim’s, 51, sobriety struggles appear to be a main story-line on the reality TV show but Kyle assured OK! she’s sober. “She's happy, healthy and took care of herself and did what she needed to do.”
Kyle also faced drama this year with her older sister Kathy Hilton— things got so tense she almost didn’t attend her niece, Nicky Hilton’s, wedding!
"It was just some family dynamics that I was going through in my personal life that were not really part of the show, but your life ends up being on the show when you are on a reality show," Kyle said. "So it's worked out now. I went to Nicky's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding."
