Hi, everyone, and welcome to my OK! blog! I'm so excited to be back for a new season! Every week, I’ll share all my behind the scenes stories as I take David Arquette from dapper actor to ballroom great on this season of Dancing With the Stars. So glad you'll be joining me!

Tonight we're doing the Jive, which is a really fun fast dance. Jive is gonna be great with David, I think it really suits his personality. It's really fast, it's fun, it's really energetic and that's what David is all about. This dance is physically exhausting so it's very hard rehearsing, because it takes a lot of energy out of you. David's so fit and I really think we're ready for it.

KYM JOHNSON'S DWTS DIARY: I'M SO PROUD OF DAVID!

Practice with David has been  going great! We were traveling this week, so that was a little bit difficult. We've been going back and forth from L.A. to New York so we got to train in New York, which is fun. It was such a whirlwind, it was in and out, so quick. I love New York, I wish we could've spent more time there. David had some stuff going on so we had to go. Because David had to go, I had to go as well! We definitely maintained a really good training schedule, and as soon as we landed we went straight to the studio in L.A. and rehearsed into the evening. We didn't miss a day of rehearsal, and it was a bit fun to switch it up a bit.

KYM JOHNSON'S DWTS DIARY: STARTING A FRESH SEASON WITH DAVID ARQUETTE ON A NEW STAGE

In New York we went out for dinner in Chelsea with a group of friends one night, so that was really nice to relax., which was was really fun. But even then we were on a flight really early the next morning.

Building up his confidence is important. I think that David takes himself really really seriously, he's very, very hard on himself. I think that when he watches the dance back, he's so super critical. So for me the hardest thing is making him realize that he's actually really good and he's just gotta have that confidence on the dance floor.

OK! NEWS: DANCING WITH THE STARS RESULTS SHOW — DID THE RIGHT COUPLE GO HOME?

I'm feeling really prepared and excited, but there's always nerves. I'll be more nervous for the results show tomorrow, but tonight I think is just about getting out there and trying to show off what you've done and hopefully do a really great dance. I think we'll be less nervous tonight than last week. We're just going to go out there and have a really good time. The jive is so much about having fun and all the work's been done now in the studio so he's really just got to get out there and do a great performance.

David makes me laugh all the time. If things get a bit too intense in the studio or frustrating, we'll break out into a song and dance and sing and be stupid to break up the tension. We have a great relationship and we get along really well. We're constantly dancing, he knows all these old fashioned silly songs that I do, so we have a really great time.

I watched my former partner Hines Ward play football last night! David and I had been rehearsing all day, and I'd been starting to think about our next dance in case we get through so I'm prepared. Then the Steelers game came on and it was a nice way for me to unwind and not think about the show for a second. I had a little Steelers party with some of my friends and I put Hines' jersey on. I didn't realize how stressful it was to watch him play! I was yelling at the TV and on the edge of my seat. It was kind of intense! I didn't watch football before knowing Hines, and now I know half the team because I got to go out and meet those guys, so now it was nice to see them on the field playing. On Sundays it'll be my night to switch off and relax.

Wish David and me luck tonight!

Kym
