Laura Ziskin, 'Spider-Man' Producer & Stand Up to Cancer Co-Founder, Dies at 61

Hollywood has a heavy heart this morning as the producer of Pretty Woman and Spider-Man movies, Laura Ziskin, has passed away. She also co-founded Stand Up to Cancer, a charity that's raised more than $200 million for cancer research.

Laura was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and fought it until the very end, at age 61. Prior to her death, Laura worked on the upcoming Spider-Man film. Although she was perhaps most known for her work with those films, her career lasted for three decades and she was involved with a bunch of movies including No Way out, Fight Club and As Good As It Gets.

According to the BBC, Stand Up to Cancer co-founder Katie Couric, described Laura as "one of the most courageous people I've ever known."
