
Law & Order Actor Dennis Farina Dies at 69

While we are eagerly awaiting joyful news from across the pond today, we are sad to hear that actor Dennis Farina has passed away at age 69. He died in Scottsdale, AZ after suffering a blood clot in his lung.
Dennis was a cop in Chicago for 18 years before turning to acting and was well known for playing Detective Joe Fontana on Law & Order. He has also appeared in the films Midnight Run, Get Shorty, and What Happens in Vegas where he played Cameron Diaz's boss.

Dennis recently had a guest role on New Girl, playing the father of Nick Miller (Jake Johnson). Last season his character also passed away, as Nick's roommates went above and beyond to console him.
