Season 9 of American Idol came down to Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox last night, but it was Lee who was named number one! The winner was announced live at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. Wednesday amongst many stars who came out in support. Even Bret Michaels was there!

At the end of night, every past winner of Idol appeared on stage to say goodbye to Simon Cowell, but David Cook and Adam Lambert were noticeably missing.
Access Hollywood reports David's rep said he had a charity event in Kansas City and Adam's rep said he couldn't make it because he was put on vocal rest.
