Letterman Extortionist Sentenced to 6 Months in Prison

David Letterman's extortionist Robert "Joe" Halderman is headed to jail for trying to blackmail $2 million out of the late night comedian, TMZ reports.
Halderman sentenced today for six months behind bars for demanding $2 million to keep quiet about Dave’s indiscretions.

The former TV producer for CBS’ 48 Hours Mystery pled guilty to attempted grand larceny back in March, and according to TMZ, just appeared in Manhattan criminal court in handcuffs.

Under the sentencing, Halderman will also have to serve 1000 hours of community service and will be on probation for five years.
