OK!'S LETTERS FROM LONDON: FASHION WEEK ARRIVES EARLY
London finally snapped out of its post summer slumber for a dazzling fashion week. Festivities kicked off last Thursday night with ultra-chic jewelery brand Links of London party, held at the Club at the Ivy. Hosted by the divine Cat Deeley, who had poured herself into Emilio Pucci’s sequined maxi, the event marked her new role as Link's global ambassador. Model du jour Daisy Lowe spent the night spinning music on the decks, while fashion supremo Matthew Williamson and shoe king Rupert Sanderson sipped ginger beer cocktails and munched on sushi rolls and Yorkshire puddings.
On Saturday, the Markus Lupfer after Party at Bungalow 8, we saw girl-of-the-moment Olivia Palermo, Lupfer’s muse Lydia Hearst, model Alexa Chung and Tennessee Thomas from The Like quaffing vodka collins cocktails and throwing some serious shapes on the dance floor.
The place to be on Sunday was the Mulberry soiree, attended by Alexa Chung who told us she was keen to keep her eye on the new generation of Alexa bags. She broke with tradition by swapping her edgy fashion choices for the style mainstream, sporting a dress by interiors print queen Orla Kiely. “Her Spring Summer collection is SO good. There's a yellow dress too with a big bow, that's really lovely.'"
OK!'S LETTERS FROM LONDON — THE WEEK IN THE BIG CITY!
Monday was a busy day on planet fashion as Anna Wintour, French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld and her super-stylish daughter Julia, jostled for poll position at the Nicole Farhi show.
That evening, the parties were in abundance. At The Browns Focus and Pamela Love party, guests, including Alexa Chung, Henry Holland and Dree Hemmingway, were greeted by a tray of cool tequila and pomegranate punch drinks, with crab nachos and popping candy to get them in high spirits.
Meanwhile, the Vivienne Westwood/Melissa party at Selfridges Ultralounge featured a fleet of dashing male models in white tuxedos handing the parched fashion pack ice cold pink champagne. The shoe exhibition featured over 200 of Westwood’s footwear fetishes since 1973, including the infamous shoes that toppled Naomi Campbell on the catwalk.
On the other side of town, in Bethnal Green, the Giles/Mac party at Bistrotheque was attended by a freshly mohawked, uber mannequin Agyness Deyn. "It was such a great show," she raved, "I can’t wait to get into those big fair isle knits." Deyn was joined by party pal Pixie Geldof, who has recently formed a band called Violet. “We are totally ready to party,' she said.

OK!'S LETTERS FROM LONDON — THE WEEKEND IN THE BIG CITY!
Tuesday saw the starriest show in London. Once again, Burberry's front row resembled a dizzying celeb-a-thon. Sarah Jessica Parker, Alexa Chung, Andy Murray, Serena Williams, Cat Deeley and Mario Testino were among the famous faces to grace Christopher Bailey's catwalk.
That evening, original supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell hosted rival parties on opposite ends of Bond Street. At the Longchamp store, Kate was hosting a soirée to celebrate her latest collection of handbags for the brand. The Pommery was flowing as Kate was joined by fashion editors and her friends, including David Gandy, Mario Testino, Meg Matthews, Jo Wood, Donna Air and Sadie Frost.
Naomi, meanwhile, was marking the 25th anniversary of her modeling career with a jam-packed party at the Dolce & Gabbana store on Old Bond Street. Surrounded by a troupe of models sporting the limited edition T-shirts featuring iconic images of the supermodel, Naomi posed for photographers before getting down to the business of signing the Ts, which were being sold for her charity, Fashion For Relief.
Fellow supermodels Claudia Schiffer and David Gandy popped in to congratulate Naomi, who was in the company of a bevy of beauties including Paloma Faith, Natasha Bedingfield, and models Amber Le Bon and Saffron Aldridge.
