OK! News: Is Mommyhood Affecting Jenna Dewan Tatum’s New Role?

Are Witches of East End stars Madchen Amick and Rachel Boston the hardest working women in Hollywood by acting in and baking for their new series?

Series stars Julia Ormond, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Rachel Boston and Madchen Amick portray a family of witches, but unbeknownst to the younger generation, they have been gifted and cursed with a magical birthright. It’s sexy, it’s spell-binding and it’s going to become your new TV addiction.

“Freya (Jenna’s character) and I don’t know that we have any supernatural gifts,” explains Rachel, who plays shy and conservative Ingrid. “And Ingrid is a librarian, and I’ve taken all of the wisdom that I might have from these past lives, and I’ve applied it to the academic study, and I’m writing a dissertation about witchcraft and the cult practices.  So in the midst of that, I’m aware of all of these different forces, and I have studied it so much, and now it’s going to be part of my real universe and my family.”

IMG_2822Jenna, who admits one of her favorite movies is Practical Magic, is thrilled to be part of a project that explores witchcraft in a believable way—no flying broomsticks here.

OK! News: One Direction Makes a Big Announcement

“In my very first meeting (about the show), I was, like, ‘Is the magic going to be grounded?  Or is it going to be larger than life?’ And it is very grounded and in a very exciting but believable way, which excited me the most because I wanted to do something like that.”
