It's not all night clubs and after parties for Lindsay Lohan. The star took in some more G-rated entertainment tonight, making a surprise appearance in the American Idol audience.

An eyewitness tells OK! that Lindsay was an audience member and arrived halfway through the show.
"She watched Diddy perform his new song "Hello Good Morning", clapping and bopping along, wearing a flowered top and black hat," the eyewitness explained. "She also signed autographs for some of the kids in the audience."

According to the eyewitness, Lohan wanted to stand in the front row during Diddy's performance, and she was flanked by two bodyguards.

But it seems she's more of a fan of the rapper than the hopefuls: after Diddy performed, Lohan left, without staying to see Didi Benami eliminated when the results were announced!
