Luke Wilson Set to Star in New HBO Comedy

We can all breathe a sigh of relief now because someone has finally given Luke Wilson a new job — and it's not an AT&T commercial! Luke and Diane Ladd will star opposite Laura Dern in her HBO comedy pilot Enlightened. It's about time — Luke's acting minutes were going unused!
While we're excited Luke has a job other than shilling wireless service, the fact that it's a TV gig leaves room for some concern, as it's his first major small screen job.
The only other notable show Luke's had a recurring role on was That 70s Show on Fox where he played the older brother of Ashton Kutcher's character.
In Enlightened, Luke will play Levi, the messy ex-husband of Amy, Laura's character, who has a drug problem, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
Amy is a self-destructive woman who has a spiritual awakening after a crisis that leads her to try and live an enlightened life, which only creates more chaos in her work and home life.

Amy's mother will be played by Laura's real life mom, Diane, who takes her daughter in after her crisis.
Hopefully Luke is better on a TV show than he is on a TV commercial!
