Maksim Chmerkovskiy has been asked to return to Broadway to dance his heart out in Burn the Floor, but his ex-fiancé Karina Smirnoff didn't make the roster, E! News reports. The dancing duo made their Broadway debut together last summer in the play. "I wouldn't do it if she was asked back," Maksim told E!.

Despite Karina's absence, Dancing With The Stars celebs will still have a stronghold in the play. Kym Johnson will make her Broadway debut opposite Maks for the run, which lasts through January.

"Kym's been part of the cast before and she knows everybody in it," Chmerkovskiy told E!. "The fun part is I got a call from the producers after we finished our last run, saying, 'If you promise to come back, we'll extend it.' And I kind of like thought about it for a second and I'm like, 'You're asking me if I come back, the entire show will stay on Broadway?' That's the achievement of a lifetime."

Kym wrote about her excitement of joining Burn the Floor in her exclusive DWTS' blog for OK!

"I’m going to be making my debut on Broadway in Burn the Floor after this season’s DWTS is over," Kym writes. "It starts November 27. If Donny and I are lucky enough to make the final, that would finish on Tuesday, and then I’d go into the show in Friday."

"I was actually in the original workshop of Burn the Floor in 1998, so it’s really nice to be back in the show now that it’s on Broadway."
