"I'm getting married in the morning, ding dong the bells are gonna chime..." And chime they did, darlings!
The morning of the Royal Wedding — so peaceful, with clouds fighting off joyous tears of their own in hope and promise of a beautiful, light-filled day. It was a day to shine over the picture-perfect new couple, Prince William and Princess Catherine Middleton. And there was fashion! Fashion so detailed that we were reminded of the fantasy and great circumstance clothing has on life and style.

From the first sighting of Victoria Beckham in a navy design of her own, to her stunning husband David Beckham in Ralph Lauren. Then there was color, light and an ode to the great chapeau. For centuries, the tradition at Westminster Abbey is that of gloved hands, sleeved dresses and the luminously stunning hat. Seen today were some of Philip Treacy's greatest creations, following great tradition yet innovative and modern.
Sadly, there were some misses in the fashion department — this dress worn by Chelsy Davy gave her the appearance of being a piñata at a quiñceanera rather than a guest at a royal wedding. And Camilla appeared to have been inspired by Maria Von Trapp and Scarlett O'Hara, and made her dress from house curtains, keeping to the box pleat.

The clear and obvious winners of the day were Tara Palmer-Tomkinson in my favorite blue; Kate's handsome brother, James Middleton; Elton John and David Furnish, and Carole Middleton looked absolutely stunning in a suit with beautiful knotted detail and satin piping.
Her majesty Queen Elizabeth II looked like a noble ray of sunlight, so beautiful in a canary yellow ensemble by Angela Kelly.

Today changed the way fashion will be perceived forever, and simply done so with one house, a design house that has inspired two generations of designers, myself included. The name: Alexander McQueen!
To see that beautiful Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown, so beautifully modernizing the look of Grace Kelly and Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music, gave new meaning to the iconic silhouette. Such a beautiful woman and a glorious gown.
Whoever said fairy tales do not come true, LIED! Did you see Prince William in red? That was the highlight of my day — I love red in menswear. Not only was he uniformed in red, but the royal guard that followed left Westminster Abbey in a beautiful sea of red, the color of love.
May the world know more of the peace and joy I saw today, I have never seen so many tears of joy in my life.

My wish to all of you this week is for Love and Glamour - a kind of love that brings us all together in hope and the reality that, yes, dreams really do come true and our differences can actually be great things for us to learn from, in peace!
Congratulations to Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. May your love forever grow and your years be ever more!
Bisous,
