Maria Howell Has Been Cast in 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire'

There's more casting news for Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Atlanta based actress Maria Howell was just announced to play Seeder, a District 11 winner who is sent to compete again in the 75th Annual Hunger Games, or Quarter Quell.

Maria has appeared on TV shows such as Army Wives, Drop Dead Diva and The Vampire Diaries, but she's best known for the film adaption of The Color Purple.
In addition to Maria, four new actors have been confirmed to star alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.

E. Roger Mitchell is Chaff, Seeder’s fellow District 11 tribute, Smallville actor Alan Ritchson will play Gloss, a former Career tribute from District 1, Bruno Gunn will take on the role of Brutus, a former District 2 winner and Meta Golding was cast as Enobaria, the other District 2 tribute.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire is directed by Francis Lawrence and is scheduled to hit theaters November, 22, 2013.
