Even though it sounds like it was planned as part of the number, it matters not: They still smooched!
Derek told reporters, "The song was such a big build, I'm like we have to do something, we can't just do a dip, can't just take the shirt off everybody does that, and she was like what if we just make out? I was like, 'Uh, okay!'"
When asked if Maria is basically throwing herself at her dance partner, she exclaimed, "Yes!"

She's also dancing through rib and stomach pain. "We're so hungry!" Derek explained. "We starve ourselves on show days because you're just like so nervous you can't eat."
That's not all — Maria's dealing with bruised feet, too. "I can’t wait to go back to the doctor, he’s been asking me to come back to get MRIs done on both feet again. I’m like, 'Wait, I just need a couple more days, then I will want to come back because I really am excited to see completely healed feet.'"

Injuries aside, most stars have been known to slim down on the show and even though she was already svelte when the season began, she explained her clothes are a little bit bigger now. "I put on pants and I'm like, these are too big. Yeah, it's definitely gone down."
Derek chimed in, "The booty's getting bigger. I want to keep it big."
