Maria Shriver has decided to speak out on the news that her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, fathered a love child with a former household staffer.
Arnold publicly admitted today that he fathered a child with a former housekeeper over a decade ago. Maria and Arnold recently announced they would be separating after 25 years of marriage and Arnold reportedly told Maria the child was his earlier this year.
"This is a painful and heartbreaking time," Maria said in a statement to E! News.
"As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment."
