Matt Bomer Won't Star in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Because He's Gay, Says Bret Easton Ellis

Well, there goes one top option from everyone's dream Christian Grey list...
OK! NEWS: MATT BOMER COMES OUT AS GAY: THANKS PARTNER SIMON HALLS AT AWARDS CEREMONY
Fifty Shades of Grey's maybe screenwriter, Bret Easton Ellis, has remained fairly silent on the possible erotic novel casting until today when he shot down rumors Matt Bomer would play Christian.
In the trilogy, Christian Grey is an older, very sexy businessman who gives the much younger Anastasia Steele a crash course on S&M sex play. Fans of Matt from White Collar and Magic Mike were thrilled when they heard the hard-bodied actor's name was floating around as a possible Christian.
"Fifty Shades of Grey: the most popular book on the planet having Matt Bomer — a gay actor — play Christian Grey is absolutely ludicrous," tweeted Bret. "I am NOT discriminating Matt Bomer because of his sexuality. Fifty Shades of Grey demands an actor that is genuinely into women. Get it?!?"
Bret goes on to say he thinks Matt is "incredibly handsome" and a "good actor" but the fact he's married to a man would complicate things.

"I actually think it's cool that women want Matt Bomer as Christian Grey. It means that we've moved beyond stereotypes and that gay is hot... " he tweeted after women replied in the dozens saying a gay actor can absolutely play a straight lover.
"@BretEastonEllis CG but that's nothing to do with his sexuality. Plenty of gay men have played straight roles and done them well," said one woman.
"I think women are the better judge of who should be CG in this situation as its women he attracts!!" tweeted another lady to the writer.
Agreed.
