Call it the “born” ultimatum! Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso are expecting their second child together. The new baby will join 20-month-year-old daughter Isabella and Barroso’s nine-year-old daughter Alexia, from a previous marriage.
Barroso’s baby bump was in full view at the Empire Awards in London on Sunday, where Damon’s film The Bourne Ultimatum took Best Film honors. Damon’s publicist Jennifer Allen confirmed the news.
Fatherhood has had a profound impact on the Oscar winner’s life. “I really used to have no life outside movies," said Damon in a 2007 interview. "I'd work all day, go to the gym and go to sleep. Now I have a place to be so I come home after work. I wanted to get home to see my daughter before she went to sleep."
