Meredith Vieira confirmed today what OK! told you last week, that she is indeed set to leave the Today show “in a few weeks,” to be replaced by Ann Curry. Co-host Matt Lauer, however, has shot down speculation that he’s set to follow her out the door.
Speaking at a press conference at 30 Rock earlier today in NYC, Matt told assembled journalists, “I’m not going anywhere and I don’t want to go anywhere,” citing a “long term deal at NBC” that will keep him in the Today show’s anchor chair “for a while.”

As Meredith prepares to leave the show so she can spend more time with her family Matt joked, “my youngest son graduates in 2020 and I’d like to be there for that.”
He also admitted to chatting with former co-anchor and longtime friend Kate Couric about the possibility of teaming up for a syndicated talk show.
