Maura Tierney Returns to TV Post Breast Cancer

Maura Tierney spent months battling breast cancer and now, in remission, the former ER actress is planning to return to TV.
The 45-year-old will be playing a deputy bureau chief in Manhattan in the new ABC series The Whole Truth, according to EW.
Maura replaced Joely Richardson, who wanted to take a break to focus on her children, for the role of Kathryn Peale.

The mom of two was supposed to star in Lauren Graham’s role in the NBC family drama Parenthood last year.
Unfortunately, she had to pass up the part to focus on her breast cancer and have surgery.
