Who took the tiara? The lucky and deserving lady that claims the title of Miss America and gets to don the glam crown is Nina Davuluri. The reigning winner is the second Miss New York to win the esteemed pageant and is also the first Miss America of Indian heritage. Thrilled with the judges decision? We are! The gorgeous gal accepted her award at the Atlantic City-based event in a soft yellow cap-sleeved, fitted gown. The simplistic ensemble had a bit of sass to it, as it dipped down into a tasteful V-neck with a mesh overlay.
She answered her questions flawless manner and chose a crisp white cocktail number for the occasion. But while we're talking about her flawlessness and poise, we should mention the winner's fluid talent portion of the competition, where she chose a dance routine. That only deserves one word of a description—perfection. Wondering about what she wore to show off her crazy fit bod? She picked a zebra bikini with a black sarong.
Nina's platform was "Celebrating Diversity through Cultural Competency," and according to a Miss America press release, she will fulfill a role as a STEM spokesperson and will also be involved with working with the Department of Education.
