Michael Jace, Star of The Shield, Was Just Charged with Murder

Michael Jace has played a cop on multiple television shows, but the tables have been turned on the actor. He has been arrested and charged with the murder of his wife, April.

Reportedly, Jace called 911 himself last night to report that his wife had been shot, and that he pulled the trigger. TMZ reports that their two young children witnessed the shooting, and were understandably disturbed. There is still no explanation of a motive—an argument, a marital separation, or the like—at this time.

Jace starred on The Shield for six years. He has also appeared on other crime or law enforcement shows, like Southland, CSI, and NYPD Blue. Jace is 48.
