Prepare to say goodbye to Miley Cyrus as you know her. The Hannah Montana star is planning to leave her teen pop style behind and head in a harder, edgier direction.
"I want this to be my last pop record," the 17-year-old told the UK's GMTV of her album The Time of Our Lives.
"I'm working on a record right now, I want this to be my last record for a little while, to be able to take a break and just get all the types of music I really love, my favorite styles and be able to have something edgier," says the "Party in the USA" singer.

"And not have to worry about people saying, 'this isn't want her fans want to listen to yadda yadda', because at the end of the day in a few years as I grow up so will my fans and I won't have to maybe focus on that so much, and make records that are more the style I'm into."
