New Jersey Nets Player Jordan Farmar Reveals He Played Matchmaker to Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries

With so much hype over Kim Kardashian’s recent engagement to NBA pro Kris Humphries and the 20.5 carat diamond ring she’s sporting, OK! couldn’t help but to wonder who it was that introduced the now so-in-love couple? On Saturday night, New Jersey Nets player Jordan Farmar revealed to OK! that he was the one who played the role of matchmaker between the lovebirds.
“I introduced them in New York and they have come a long way since. Not too long, but a lot has happened,” the former L.A. Laker, who now plays alongside Kris on the court, told OK! while out at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball.

Jordan explained that he finally decided to introduce the Kim, 30, and Kris since they had both been dropping hints and, “it was kind of mutual thing with them asking about each other.”
Clearly, the rest has become history! Kris proposed to the Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s starlet in May, totally shocking mutual pal Jordan.

“I was surprised,” Jordan gushed about hearing the big news to reporters in L.A., “They were at my house the day before and he hit me in the morning and he told me he did it.”
Luckily for the now engaged couple, Jordan knew that they would hit it off and went the extra mile to ensure that they at least met each other.

“They both fit each other. He is a good kid. He is from the country so he kind of slows it down and she is fast paced and has a lot of stuff going on so they kind of balance each other out,” the 24-year-old said of why he knew Kim and Kris would make a good match.
Kim’s E! reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, premieres tonight at 10 PM.
