Nick Cannon Hugs It Out In New York

Talk about setting a lofty goal! Nick Cannon, the America's Got Talent host and hubby of Mariah Carey, aimed to smash a record in The Guinness Book of World Records by setting a record for the most hugs given in one hour.

On Friday right before he went to City Field, the Mets' ballpark, he tweeted, "hey NYC! I'm here trying to break the hugging record. Come show love!"

According to E! News, word hasn't been announced whether or not Nick accomplished his goal. He would have had to beat the record of 1,749 hours to snag the new record. That record was accomplished by another Nick as in Nick Vujicic at the Deschutes County Expo Center, in Oregon, last September.

Breaking the record wasn't the only thing on his mind — charity was, too! A toy was donated to a child at the Mets Care Room in a local hospital for every hug he gave. Awwww.
