Nickelodeon Officially Cancels Sam & Cat!

After only one season of Sam & Cat, the show is officially coming to an end. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nickelodeon will not be producing any more episodes of the series starring Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy. The network confirmed this news in a statement that addressed the hit show.
“Nickelodeon will not be producing more episodes of Sam & Cat,” the network voiced. “We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best.”

Upset? While you won't be able to tune into a Season 2, it's reported that there is one final episode of Sam & Cat that will be aired.
You may remember that earlier this year the show faced controversy when scandalous pictures of Jennette McCurdy surfaced online. Jennette even addressed the issue via her Twitter account but then faced even more controversy when she didn't show up to the Kids' Choice Awards.

Rumors also circulated that Ariana and Jennette disagreed on their salary offerings, leaving some to believe that Ariana Grande was getting paid a higher salary. However, Ariana debunked this rumor on Twitter stating, “The rumors circulating about our contracts and our salary not being equal are absolutely ridiculous and false.”
