Yesterday morning, DJ Peter Rosenberg hopped on the stage of East Rutherford, New Jersey's MetLife Stadium to warm up the crowd for the evening show and made a slight diss to Nicki.
"I see the real hip-hop heads sprinkled in here. I see them. I know there are some chicks here waiting to sing Starships later — I’m not talking to y’all right now,’ he said. “I’m here to talk about real hip-hop.”
Ouch.
While it's true Nicki is more pop-infused than some of the other booked acts — Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, J. Cole, Meek Mill and T.I. — Lil' Wayne, technically Nicki's boss, suggested she not perform due to Peter's reckless statement.
“I go above and beyond for my fans. But won’t ever go against Wayne’s word. What he says, goes. Had a HELL of a f***ing lineup. But won't b disrespected." Nicki tweeted to her legions of fans upon the news she wouldn't be taking the stage.

While most of Nicki's fans agreed, she shot back to the naysayers defending her and Wayne's decision saying she has "earned" respect.
"On the contrary RS, history was indeed made. Standing up 4urself, knowing ur worth, demanding 2b treated w/respect. I've earned it."
