OK! EXCLUSIVE: DAVID HASSELHOFF TALKS ABOUT BEING A SINGLE PARENT

During his break from doing OK!'s hair at the Garnier Fructis makeshift salon at the Polaroid Beach House in Malibu, David Hasselhoff proves to OK! that while he may not be the best hairdresser, he is a good dad. The former Baywatch and Knight Rider star says the key is respect and not to overreact. Well, not often. There was one time, shortly before we saw him when he admitted to sometimes overreacting with his youngest daughter.' David tells OK!, 'Today, we were in the ocean and she's saying, ëDad, I want to take off my life preserver.' And I'm like, ëThese jet skies turn over, we're in the ocean, you can't, I'm the lifeguard!' Although he won this battle, David certainly knows that it isn't easy being a single father of two teenage girls. As for being the overprotective type when his daughters start dating, the America's Got Talent judge says, 'If you tell me the truth and discuss where we're going, where you think you want to go and what you want to do, that's fine, but if you lie to me, then we have a problem, and that's lack of respect.'
