OK!: What made you team up with Larabar?

Haylie Duff: Larabar is very much on par with the way I look and appreciate food. When Lara created these bars, she was really focused on stream lining the ingredients and using real food. You can look at the ingredients and there are less than 9 ingredients in each bar, some of them only have 2, which still blows my mind. I think that’s so important because we look at the ingredient list  in so many of the thing we eat and there are like 40 ingredients and half the time we don’t even know what they are. So in a product like Larabar, I can look at it and know exactly what I’m eating. That was super inspiring to me, how she was able to make such an amazing product. Larabar is also donating an incredible amount of money to Feeding America, which is so important. When she asked me to be a part of it I was honored and excited and jumped to the chance!

OK!: What initially attracted you to the food business?

Haylie Duff: It’s so funny because I kind of fell into this by chance. I had been working on a movie in Canada and everybody was older than me and there wasn’t anyone for me to hangout with so I posted a recipe for turkey meatballs online, honestly because I had nothing else to do. The way that people responded to it was surprising to me, so I was like oh maybe ill try to make and post something else. I didn’t really know how to cook when I first started posting recipes, I was kind of learning as I was posting. It just kind of grew into this really wonderful thing but I never really set out to go out into the food space. It just turned out that way and it has been the most incredible gift and the most wonderful creative outlet for me. I am so grateful every single day that I get to do this.

OK!: How has motherhood been treating you?

Haylie Duff: It is awesome! It is the just the best thing ever, it is so much fun. It is so hard and so awesome at the same time. Ryan is so special and I feel so lucky everyday that I get to be her mom!

OK!: How has your sister Hilary been a part of Ryan’s life?

Haylie Duff: Just yesterday when we were leaving to come to New York there was an hour and a half window between my airport pick up, Matt having to be at work, and when my nanny arrives in the morning. My mom couldn’t watch her and there was a moment when we were like OMG what are we supposed to do for this hour and a half and I called my sister and she was like “I’ll come over! I’ll watch her!” so she was on babysitting duty yesterday. She sent me about 100 photos of her so I have a feeling they just had a big photoshoot the whole time. But she’s great, she has a lot of fun with her because she’s really different than Luca, she’s a little girl, and Luca is 4 now so Hilary kind of gets that baby feeling all over again.

OK!: Do you see yourself doing anymore acting in the future?

Haylie Duff: Yes I actually just read an offer for a movie yesterday on the plane. I haven’t done anything in a while because I have been so focused on the real girls kitchen and doing fun partnerships, but that part of my life is still so important to me, so I’m definitely going to make some time for that this year too.

OK!: Who is your favorite Bachelor contestant this season?

Haylie Duff: Omg team Jubliee all the way! God I love her. She speaks her mind, she is so funny and I am team Jubliee!
