Sept. 28 2010, Published 8:01 a.m. ET
Her face might be all over the World Wide Web, but it turns out, Jennifer Aniston is a staunch technophobe who avoids the Internet, doesn’t text, barely emails and relies on a years-old laptop computer, a source tells OK!. "She’s a total anti-technology freak,” the insider says. “Jen has such a phobia of technology that she calls herself a neo-Luddite.”

And the source says her man John Mayer’s technological misdeeds are a sore point. "He publicly spilled way too many personal details for Jen’s comfort level. She even talked John into deleting his Twitter account, which he did recently just to please and placate her."
It goes beyond navigating the web, however, as it seems Jen can't even deal with everyday technology in her home!
“Jen’s friends constantly make fun of her because she doesn’t know how to program her DVR or her home stereo and she hasn’t the slightest clue about how to download a song from the internet," explains the source. "She still has one of the old school, first generation iPods. Jen is like, ‘Why do I need to upgrade when this one works just fine?’ "

Even outside the home, Jen is at a loss — completely dumbfounded by her car’s GPS navigation system and she claims she’s incapable of using her Blackberry for anything other than phone calls. So how is she trying to get over these obstacles? Not long ago Jen hired a private technology tutor to help her figure out gadgets, but she couldn’t wrap her head around many of the concepts.

“Jen was so frustrated that this past summer she got rid of her home desktop computer and she relies solely on a nearly 10-year-old laptop," the insider reveals to OK!.
OK! EXCLUSIVE: FOR JEN, JOHN'S THE ONE WHO GOT AWAY!
"In mini protest after listening to all her friends talk about their Facebook pages and Twitter accounts and after getting into a fight with her pal Chelsea Handler over Chelsea’s habit of texting while they’re socializing together, Jen swore off texting," the insider spills. "She’s keeping emails to a minimum and telling friends that if they want to reach her, they should call."
But Jen doesn’t care if she’s deemed old-fashioned and the largely non-tech lifestyle is working for the low-key star, says the source.
“These days Jen is all about dialing down her hectic life and living simply. When she’s not working, Jen is happiest cooking, reading and gardening. She’ll be the first to admit she’s behind the times but she’s loving the simple life.”
