NEWSOK! EXCLUSIVE: Kendra's Family Stands By Her During Sex Tape Scandal

Kendra Wilkinson Baskett didn’t expect to be spending her very first Mother’s Day dealing with controversy over a sordid sex tape. But as OK! reported exclusively last week, the reality TV star is waging a battle to stop Vivid Entertainment from releasing Kendra Exposed.
Yet even if Kendra loses her legal struggle and the explict tape gets released, she will still be able to count on her family to support her.
Kendra’s father-in-law, Hank Baskett Jr. said in a statement, “I will always stand by Hank and Kendra. Kendra is a great mom. You know, she’s awesome and she loves her family and that’s all that matters.”
His kindness meant the world to the former Playboy playmate, who an insider says was scared that the tape she made with an ex-boyfriend would offend her conservative in-laws.
Kendra’s mother, Patty, and brother, Collin, have also been sympathetic. “No one wants their daughter or sister to be seen like that, but they don’t fault Kendra for things she’s done in the past. They understand that everyone makes mistakes,” says a source.
“They just see this whole sex-tape thing as someone’s idea of a way to make money now that Kendra is so famous. Honestly, they aren’t surprised.”
Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, co-stars on The Girls Next Door, have rallied to her side, too.
“Holly’s been emailing and texting her to keep her head up,” says a source. “Bridget’s been doing the same. She knows firsthand that the past can come back to haunt you. Neither of them are making any judgments. They’re like sisters. They support each other.”

Of course, the whole scandal has been the toughest on Kendra’s husband of less than one year, Hank Baskett.
“Kendra has been really apologetic to Hank about all of this,” says the source. “This was something that happened way before she ever met him, and she’s been trying to assure him that she is now committed to being the best wife and mother possible.”
He accepts her explanation, the insider says, but “Hank is having a really hard time dealing with all the attention around Kendra’s sex tape. He knew what he was getting into when he married Kendra, but it’s a lot to digest.”
Hank, 27, might be initially embarrassed, says a friend, “but he will stand behind her and make it work. He really loves her.”

And baby Hank has been helping his mom take her mind off her troubles. Says Kendra, “I can’t wake up in a bad mood with him.”
