OK! or OMG?!: Read Our Review of Justin Timberlake's Runner Runner
Just a few days after Justin Timberlake released The 20/20 Experience Part 2 comes the release of his new film Runner Runner, where JT plays a Princeton grad student who gets cheated of thousands of dollars on an online gaming site. Overachiever much? Read on for an abridged version of OK! or OMG?!, aka let's get to the good stuff..
The worst thing about this movie is that so much happens. I had a hard time following who was the bad guy (Ben Affleck, Anthony Mackie and more guys in rich-people suits are all in the running for worst bad guy) because there's a lot of minor characters and it's a little bit convoluted. But the good parts?

It takes place mostly in Costa Rica, where Justin's character Richie goes to confront Ben Affleck's character Ivan, the guy who scammed him. So there's lots of cool scenery, Spanish accents and hot tans.

It's also pretty funny. It's not a comedy by any means, but there are certainly a few funny quotes. My fave was one where Anthony Mackie made a Rutgers joke (he went to Rutgers, JT's character goes to Princeton), mainly because I went to Rutgers and so I appreciated the reference.

And hey, let's not forget that Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck are both in this film. That's a ticket-purchaser right there. But I couldn't help but notice how bad of an actor JT is next to Ben Affleck. I mean, JT isn't winning any Oscars anytime soon, let's be real guys. I love JT. I really do. But unless he's being funny on Saturday Night Live or in a skit with Jimmy Fallon, I do not really want to see him in movies. I think the casting people here kind of missed the mark in that sense.
OK! or OMG?: Sorry, dudes, I'm going with OK for this one—I started almost sleeping about mid-way through but I'm blaming that on being tired, not bored. Am dying to see what everyone else thinks though. So go this weekend and then report back, ok?
