OK! Update: 'Veronica Mars' WILL Be Made Into a Movie! Get the Details!

After years in the making, the TV show Veronica Mars will finally be heading to theaters everywhere!

Kristen Bell will reprise her role as Veronica, thanks to nearly 50,000 loyal fans who have contributed almost $3 million to a Kickstarter campaign started by the show's creator and writer, Rob Thomas (as of March 14, it still has 29 more days to go!)

As OKMagazine.com reported, the campaign needed to raise $2 million before the project got funded. Now that they've done it, what can everyone expect from the film?

"Life has taken Veronica away from Neptune," writes Thomas on Kickstarter. "In the years since spoiling Keith's chances to be reelected sheriff, Veronica hasn't taken a case. But something big is about to bring her back home and back to her calling."

Thomas also says he will include as many of the show's favorite characters as possible. "It is, after all, time for Veronica’s 10-year high school reunion," he hints.
